Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, 5 Aug 1944

Charles (Wayland) Taylor, 88, who spent most of his life in Ionia county, died 
Friday in Berlin.  He was born May 16, 1856, in Kent county.

Surviving are three children, Mrs. Wilbur D. Tyler of Clarksville, Mrs. 
Florence Bloom of Grand Rapids, and Cecil Taylor of Saranac; one sister, Mrs. 
Ora Henry, and eight grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock at the Morris 
funeral home, Saranac.  Rev. E. H. Humphrey will officiate, and burial will be 
in Saranac cemetery.
