The Ionia Weekly Standard, Friday, February 12, 1892

There were two funerals Monday at the Easton church.  Services for Mrs. Milton 
Taylor, of Keene, were held at 11 o’clock, Rev. T. J. Spencer, her pastor, 
preaching an able sermon to a large congregation.  At 1:30 p.m., the funeral 
of Lucius Ward was held, Rev. Spencer also conducting the services.  Rev. 
Spencer was unable to respond to a call to conduct funeral services at the 
Orleans U.B. church same day.
