Ionia County News – Thursday, 31 October 1929

Dr. Randall Taylor was born March 14, 1850, in Easton Township and spent his 
life in Ionia County.  He died at his home here Oct. 24 after several weeks 
illness of heart trouble.  He leaves one brother, Joseph, of Lowell, and three 
nieces, Mrs. Sarah Fisdale, of Flint, Mrs. Pearl Smith, of Battle Creek and 
Mrs. Madge Auton, of Kalamazoo.  Mrs. Auton has been here all through his 
illness caring for him.  Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 2 
o’clock, at the M. E. Church, Rev. C. O. Hayward, officiating.  Burial in 
Saranac cemetery.  James Hawley, George and David hardy, Guy and James Monks 
and Ed Keller acted as pall bearers and Rachel Mercer sang, accompanied by 
Mrs. Dorothy Gamsby.
