He came with his parents to Michigan when he was ten years old settling on a farm five miles west of Ionia, where he lived until 1904. Then he moved to a farm north of Weidman, where he was living at the time of his death. He was married to Clara Gove of Titusville, Pa., in 1899, who died six months later. In June 1920 he was married to Mrs. Etta Strong of Ionia. Mr. Taylor is survived by the widow, three stepdaughters, Mrs. Joseph Hummel and Miss Lena Strong, of Grand Rapids, and Mrs. Arthur Hopkins of Ionia; two brothers, Rev. Frank Taylor of Bloomingdale, and Bert of Ionia; three sisters, Mrs. Anne Renwick of Blanchard, Mrs. Ida Musser of Battle Creek, and Mrs. Rena Derrick of Birmingham, together with four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Burial was in Easton cemetery, Ionia.
