Sheridan - Viola M. Taylor, 83, 1293 Morton St., Orleans, went to be with Jesus
Feb. 18, 1999, at Ionia County Memorial Hospital, Ionia.  She was born Oct. 11,
1915, in Belding, the daughter of Robert and Cora Butts Grow.  She married
Morris J. Taylor on April 5, 1934, at Belding.  He preceded her in death on June
24, 1993.

Mrs. Taylor was a longtime resident of the Palo and Orleans area.  She was a
life member of Order of Eastern Star, Palo, and a member of Shiloh Community
Church. 

She is survived by four daughters and sons-in-law, Maribeth and Gerald Fritz of
Orleans, Nancy and Howard Dumond, Kathy and Phillip Hoople, all of Ionia, Cheryl
and Dan Yoder of Clarksville; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Michael and
Bernita Taylor of Belding, Paul Taylor of Orleans; 18 grandchildren, 26
great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.  She also was preceded in
death by one daughter, Patricia Grieves, in 1979; one grandson, Scott Grieves;
one brother, Clinton Grow; and one sister, Bessie Rich.

Funeral services were held Saturday at Shiloh Community Church, Orleans, with
Pastor Jamey M. Nichols officiating.  Interment was in Palo Cemetery, Palo.  The
family suggests memorial considerations to Shiloh Community Church.  The family
was served by the Stebbins & Simpson Funeral Home, Sheridan.
