Taylor passed away on Sunday afternoon at 4:30 at the family home, 527 W. May street, Belding, following a long illness. He had been sick in bed since March 26, 1939 and was totally blind the past seven months. Mr. Taylor was born June 4th, 1853, the son of Osborn and Locinda Taylor, in Glostonbury, Conn. He was the youngest of 11 children, all of whom have preceded him in death. On August 29, 1885, at the age of 32, he was united in marriage to Hannah E. Brown in a ceremony which was solemnized at the home of her parents, with Rev. Eaton of Lowell officiating. To this union were born 11 children, six of whom survive to mourn their great loss. His wife passed away September 27, 1939. Survivors are three sons: LeRoy, Bert and Carl, all of this city; three daughters: Mrs. Ada Goodenough and Mrs. Nora Hudnutt of this city and Mrs. Cora Wine of Bellevue; 18 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. The funeral was held at Fitzjohn funeral home at 2:30 Wednesday with Rev. Gunther officiating. Interment was in the family lot in River Ridge cemetery.
