O. Taylor, passed away Wednesday afternoon at 3:00 at the family home, 527 W. May, following a long illness. For the past six years she had been crippled with arthritis. Hannah E. Brown was born February 9, 1863, the daughter of Wm. H. and Elizabeth Brown on a farm in Vergennes township, Kent county. She was one of a family of seven children, all of whom except for one sister, Mrs. Addie Parney, of Ada, have preceded her in death. On August 29, 1885, at the age of 22, she became the bride of George Taylor, in a ceremony which was solemnized at the home of her parents with Rev. Eaton of Lowell officiating. To this union were born 11 children, six of whom survive to mourn their great loss. In 1910 Mr. and Mrs. Taylor moved to this city where they have since resided and where Mrs. Taylor had been a faithful member of the Baptist church for more than 25 years. Survivors, besides the husband, are three sons, Roy, Bert and Carl, all of this city; three daughters, Mrs. Ada Goodenough and Mrs. Nora Hudnutt, also of this city, and Mrs. Cora Wine of Bellevue; the sister, Mrs. Parney of Ada; 18 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. There will be a short prayer service at the home preceding the rites which will be held at the Fitzjohn funeral home at 2:30 Saturday. Interment will be in the family lot in River Ridge cemetery.
