F.L. TAYLOR Largely Attended by Sorrowing Relatives and Friends The home of Frank Taylor, 246 East Main street, was filled to its capacity Friday afternoon with the friends and relatives who came to pay their last respects to Mrs. Taylor, whose funeral was held at 2:30. Rev. Joseph H. Green, pastor of the First Presbyterian church, of which Mrs. Taylor was a faithful attendant, officiated at the service. The members of the Steven Thomson Mason chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution also attended the service in a body. Mrs. Taylor was one of the active members of this organization. Mrs. Taylor had a host of loving friends in Ionia, where she has been active in church and social circles, and has made her home since coming to Ionia, as a child of four years, with her parents in 1861. Mrs. Taylor was a loyal and active member of the Presbyterian church, a charter member of the D.A.R., a member of the W.L.C., and of the Thimble club. Mrs. Taylor was one of the hostesses on the W.L.C. program for the meeting this afternoon. Mrs. Taylor was stricken while at lunch down town in Chicago with a relative. She revived sufficiently to be able to walk from the restaurant, and was taken to the Y.W.C.A. building, where Miss Nettie Markham, a former Ionian, was in charge. Mrs. Taylor walked into the building but was taken worse and the death resulted before her daughter Josephine, could reach her side. Miss Josephine Taylor accompanied the remains of Mrs. Taylor to Ionia, and was accompanied from Grand Rapids here by Mrs. Russell Green. The pall bearers were Dr. F.M. Marsh, Dr. A.E. Cottingham, Fred Cutler, Zene Cutler, Fred Stivens and Philip Brock. Burial took place in the family lot at Oak Hill cemetery. Those from out of the city were Miss Josephine Taylor of Chicago; Robert Taylor, of Westfield, N.J.; Mr. and Mrs. George D. Taylor, of Grand Rapids; Mrs. Russell Green, of Grand Rapids; Miss Ruby Sunderlin, of Lansing, and Elmer Fales, of Belding. Additional Comments: (Wednesday, April 11, 1923 - Daily Sentinel-Standard) The remains of Mrs. Frank Taylor are expected to arrive from Grand Rapids tomorrow at 1:23.
