April 10, 2018 KAYLEE TAYLOR Kaylee Marie Taylor, 17, of Ionia, passed away unexpectedly in a car accident April 4, 2018. She was born May 23, 2000, in Grand Rapids the daughter of Donald F. Taylor Jr. and Tara J. (Davis) Schuler. Kaylee attended Ionia Public Schools and was in her Senior year. She was an accomplished student and had been accepted to Ferris State university. Kaylee was a part of the cheer team, tennis squad, weightlifting and band at Ionia Public Schools, She loved culinary arts, 4-H and was a certified women's self defense instructor. Surviving are her parents Donald F. Taylor Jr. and Danielle Lamar, of Durand, Tara (Ed) Schuler, of Ionia. Grandparents Sue (El) Palmer, of Lyons, Rick (Gail) Davis, of Gowen, Ed (Laura) Schuler, of Clarksville, Donald F. Taylor Sr., of Ionia, and Stacy and Lonny Hedger, of Owosso. Great-grandparents Lois and Phil Ramsey, of Elwell, Patricia Davis, of Muir , and Kenneth Blankenship, of Lyons. Siblings Cassandra Helmes of Lyons, Donald F. Taylor III, of Ionia, Emily L. Schuler, of Ionia. Second parents (special aunt and Uncle), Danielle (Patrick) West, of Ionia and Cuzsis, MacKenna West, Aunt Shellie (William) Gohl, of Alpena, Teresa Patteuw, of Grand Haven. Niece Kaisley Reginia Cole. Many aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by grandmother Lois Taylor, great-grandfather C. Ronald VanBuren, John Davis and great-grandparents Ted and Julia Vlahas. Funeral services for Kaylee will be 1 p.m. Monday, April 9, at North Plains Church, 3965 Olmstread Rd., Ionia, MI. 48846 with Pastor Greg Gladding officiating. A luncheon will follow at the Log Cabin in muir, 6484 E. Bluewater Hwy., Muir, MI. 48860. The family will receive friends and relatives at the Lake Funeral Home in Ionia sSunday 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. and Monday 12 p.m. until time of service at the church.
