Taylor, 74, of Belding, passed away Saturday evening, May 10, 2003 at St. Mary Mercy Medical Center in Grand Rapids. Ethel was born November 2, 1928 in Reed City, the daughter of Joseph and Adelaide House Saladin. She graduated from Parnell High School with the class of 1947. For many years Ethel served as a 4-H leader, was a member of the Michigan Milk Producer Association, the Michigan Farm Bureau, the Michigan Livestock Exchange and St. Joseph Catholic Church. She farmed with her husband, Richard, for many years west of Belding. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She was married on April 21, 1949 in Parnell to Richard E. Taylor and he preceded her in death on January 21, 2001. Ethel was also preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her children, Jean Taylor of Grand Rapids, Delores and Edwin Anthony of Greenville, Mary Wilson of Alexandria, Virginia, John and Sue Taylor of Belding, Paul and Shari Taylor of Belding, Karen and Daniel Santiago of Olympia, Washington, Edward and Mary Taylor of Port Huron, Tammy and Larry Feuerstein of Rockford, and Robert and Laura Taylor of Belding. Ethel is also survived by 16 grandchildren with No. 17 on the way, seven great- grandchildren, her brothers and sisters and their spouses, Emerita Saladin of Rockford, Leonard and Shirley Saladin of Grand Rapids, Don and Rose Saladin of Rothbury, Ligouri and Ann Saladin of Tampa, Fred Saladin of Belding, Pete and Chenney Saladin of Belding and a brother-in-law, Melvin Taylor of Three Rivers. Mass of Christian burial will be offered 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Belding, with Father Fred Brucker as celebrant. Interment will be in Forest Home Cemetery, Greenville. Visitation is 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday with a rosary prayed at 8:30 p.m. at Johnson- Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church, The Warren Reynolds Cancer Center of St. Mary Mercy Medical Center of the American Heart Association.
