TAYLOR
Sharlene L. Taylor, age 77, of Ionia passed away November 27, 2019 in Ionia. She 
was bornJanuary 3, 1942 in Grand Rapids, MI the daughter of Melvin and Margaret 
(Louden) Barclay. Sharlene married Robert E. Garlick April 5, 1963. He passed 
away in 1998. She later married Donald Taylor, June 10, 2000, he preceded her 
death in 2012. Sharlene was a member of Ionia Moose Lodge and Eastern Star. She 
enjoyed crocheting, knitting and visiting with people.

Surviving are her children; Lee Garlick (Nancy Young) of Rockford, Teresa Lynn 
(Donald) VanderJagt, Bruce (Christina) Garlick fo Ionia and Rodney Lee Garlick 
of Gowen. Step-daughters; Carol (Fred) Kuhtz of Ionia and Wendy (Marty) Dowsett 
of Palo; Brother, Vern Barclay of Sparta; Grandchildren, Nicholas Van Dyken, 
Dannielle (Ryan) Gill, Jake (Abby) Garlick, Trevor Stedman, Kaya Garlick, 
Gabrielle Garlick, Ethan Garlick, Ella Dowsett, great-grandchildren, Henrick and 
Hudson Gill, Clara and Lochlann Kuhta, Kaydance and  Korbyn Dowsett.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husbands.

Cremations has taken place and there will be a memorial service at Lake Funeral 
Home in Ionia, Thursday, December 12, 2019 at 11:00 a.m with Pastor Kenneth 
Harger officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the 
funeral homes. Those wishing may make memorial contributions to Ionia county 
Animal Shelter. Online condolences maybe made at www.lakefuneralhomes.com
