TAYLOR LAKE ODESSA-Russell C. Taylor, 92, of Saranac died Wednesday, May 3, 1995, at Ionia County Memorial Hospital. He was born June 4, 1902, in Berlin Township, the son of Harley and Myrtie Sible Taylor. He attended Henderleiter and Saranac Schools. He was married to the former Katherine Feuerstein on June 21, 1926, in Miriam, and they celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary last fall. He was employed by the state of Michigan at Michigan Reformatory and was also a farmer. He was a charter member of St.Edward's Church, Lake Odessas, He was a lifelong member of Berlin Center Grange and a member of Michigan State Grange. Surviving are:his wife Katherine; two sons; Donald Taylor of Adel, Ga., and Burton Taylor of Ionia; nine grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and a sister, Lucille Rittenger of Ionia. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Betty Nash, in May 1966 Funeral Mass will be Saturday, May 6, at 10 a.m. at St.Edward's Catholic Church, Lake Odessa. Burial will be in Balcom Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p..m. at Koops funeral Chapel, Lake Odessa. Rosary will be recited Friday at 7 p.m. at the funeral chapel. A memorial has been established for St.Edward's Catholic Church, in care of the funeral chapel.
