October 27, 1963 LEROY E.TAYLOR Leroy E.Taylor, aged 77 of 4996 Hawley Highway and life long resident of this area, died unexpectedly early Friday morning at United Memorial hospital in Greenville. Mr.Taylor was retired and had been in the coal business in Belding besides operating the farm on which he lived. He was born February 11, 1886 and was married to the former Laiah Witt in Lowell on July 29, 1916. His membership included a life member of the Royal Arch Masons, Belding Lodge 355 F & A.M, the Eastern Star; The Knights Templar and the White Shrine of Ionia. Survivors include his wife, Lalah; three sisters, MrsAda Goodenough, Mrs.Nora Hudnutt both of Belding, Mrs.Cora Wine of Bellevue; one brother, Carl Taylor of Belding; nieces,Mrs Virginia Jones, Mrs.France Doty of Belding, nephew, Erving Taylor of Saranac, several other nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Monday at the Fitzjohn-Courser Funeral Home with the Rev.Ralph P. Witmer of the First Methodist church, Greenville, officiating, Masonic services were conducted by the Belding Lodge 355 F &AM and burial was in River Ridge Cemetery.
