Taylor, 83, Died Saturday a.m. at Rich St. Home Mrs. Catherine Taylor, aged 83, died at her home on Rich street Saturday morning after an illness of 11 weeks. Catherine Rote was born in Pennsylvania, September 8, 1841, and was married to George Taylor January 8, 1860. Forty-five years ago Mr. and Mrs. Taylor came to Michigan and purchased the farm home now owned by Henry Pritchard, of Easton. They lived there until they moved to Ionia. Mr. Taylor died many years ago. Surviving Mrs. Taylor are eight children: Mrs. E. W. Arnold, of Easton; Mrs. W. R. Renwick, of Milbrook; Mrs. G. H. Messner, of Battle Creek; Miss Rena Taylor, of Ionia; W. R. Taylor, of Jackson; Rev. T. L. Taylor, of Pontiac; A. E. Taylor, of Battle Creek, and H. G. Taylor, of Ionia. Also a brother who lives in the west. The funeral services will be held Monday at 1:30 from the home and 2 o’clock from the Church of Christ, with which Mrs. Taylor had long been affiliated as a faithful member and worker in the various church organizations. Rev. M. S. Decker will have charge of the services. Burial will take place in Easton cemetery.
