VINCENT TAYLOR, ILL FOR SEVERAL WEEKS, PASSED INTO THE GREAT BEYOND. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon for Mrs.Vincent Taylor, who died Saturday, after having been ill for several weeks with sciatic rheumatism. The services were held at the home, with Rev.John H. Stewart, of the Baptist church, officiating. The W.R.C. and G.A.R. circles attended in a body. Mrs.Taylor's maiden name was Sarah Joloy. She was born in New Jersey, September 30, 1840, coming to Portland early in life. On December 26,1864, she was married to Vincent Taylor. For five years the couple lived inLyons and then came to this vicinity and it was about three years ago that they came to reside in this village. Mrs.Taylor is survived by a brother, Lewis Jolly, and sister, Mrs.Ann Burhans, of Portland. Mr and Mrs.Taylor had no children of their own, but brought up Otto Taylor of Ionia and Archie Green of Collins. Those from out-of-town who came to attend the funeral were Mr.and Mrs. Otto Taylor, of Ionia; Mrs.Susan Daley of Ovid, Mrs.Robert Cooley and Jess Jolly of Fowler; and Mrs.W.C. Mounteer, of Grand Rapids. CARD OF THANKS We wish to express our thanks and appreciation to the neighbors and friends who have comforted us by their noble deeds and kind sympathy during the illness and since the death of our wife and sister; also woul we thank the donors of the beautiful flowers and all who furnished automobiles, especially Mr. Heliker, who furnished two. When the time comes for you to pass through those dark hours of trial and affliction may you all have as kind and helpful neighbors and friends as ours have proved to be.
