Taylor. – In Ionia, on the 6th inst., after a brief illness, Mrs. Arabella, wife of Palmer H. Taylor, Esq., in the 39th year of her age. Mrs. T. was born in Monroe, in this State, in 1835. At an early age she united with the Presbyterian Church in that city. She was married in the fall of 1854, and immediately removed to this place, and the following year connected herself with the First Presbyterian Church of Ionia, of which she continued a member until her death. Mrs. T. was a devoted wife and mother. It was her study to render her home happy to its inmates. She lived in and for her children; and just previous to her death had been more than usually anxious for their spiritual welfare. Although much of her married life in very delicate health, she possessed a remarkably cheerful disposition. As a christian, she emphatically rejoiced in the Lord, and with the strong ties which bound her to her husband, and children, and friends, she was enabled through divine grace to long to depart and be with Christ. [Transcriber's Note: There is a notation on the obituary card that she was buried in Oak Hill Cemetery.] File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/mi/ionia/obits/t/taylor5727gob.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/mifiles/ File size: 1.7 Kb
