Sentinel-Std. - Friday, Dec. 28, 1962

A lifelong resident of Portland, Earl Teachout, 69, died at St. Lawrence 
hospital in Lansing Wednesday night. He lived on route three.

He was a member of Ionia County Farm Bureau.

Surviving are his wife, Mable; two daughters, Ms. Margaret Clements and Mrs. 
June Burger; three sons, Richard, Robert and David Teachout, all of 
Portland; 13 grandchildren; one sister, Ruth Teachout of St. Paul, Minn.; 
and two brothers, Glen Teachout of Woodbury and Harold of Leslie.

Funeral service will be at Neller funeral home Saturday at 2 p.m. The Rev. 
Robert Treat will officiate and burial will be at Danby cemetery.

Bearers will be Richard Miles, Howard Wilcox, Homer Peacock, Basil Kinney, 
Carl Smith and John Warder.
