He was in the Ionia County Memorial hospital for 14 days and was taken home from there on May 21. He was born June 15, 1876 in Warsaw, Ind., and was the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Teaker. At an early age he came to live in Michigan and most of his life was a resident of Ionia and vicinity. He was married in 1898 to Bertha Tennant of Northville. He was a retired farmer. He was a member of the First Christian church for many years and had been a deacon on its official board for the last ten years. Survivors include his wife, two sons, Byron of Ionia and Mark of Toledo, O.; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A brother, Albert, died in March, 1952. Funeral services will be conducted by the Rev. Court O. Adams at the First Christian church Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 with interment in Balcom cemetery. The body will repose at the Stone-Kauffman funeral home until one o’clock Wednesday afternoon.
