Sentinel-Std. - Saturday, Jan. 9, 1993 

IONIA- Byron J. Teaker, 93, of Cody, Wyoming, formerly of Ionia, died 
Wednesday in a Cody Hospital.

He was born on April 17, 1899, in South Lyons, the son of Murl and Bertha 
Tennant Teaker and married Ada Viola Forman, in Hastings in 1927. She 
preceded him in death on May 29, 1964.

He was a lifetime resident of the Ionia area before moving to Cody, to live 
with his son and daughter-in-law. He had been an automobile mechanic at 
Joseph Lyons Pontiac and Berger Motor Sales before his retirement. He was 
given the title of Deacon Emeritus of the First Christian Church of Ionia.

He is survived b one son, Gordon R. of Cody; one daughter, Dorothy Rieger of 
Grand Rapids; seven grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and three great-
great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Cheryl, and  one brother, 
Mark.

Funeral and Committal services will be 3 p.m. Monday from the Cook Funeral 
Home, Ionia, with the Rev. Kendall Harger officiating.

Burial will be in the Sunset Memorial Gardens.

The family will be at the Rich Street Chapel from 2-4 and 7-8:30 p.m. 
Sunday.

Pallbearers will be Richard, Ronald and Keith Teaker, Steven Evilsizor, 
James Snyder, Dale Stiles and Brian Fish.
