Teaker, 57, of 422 Jermyn street, died Friday forenoon at Ionia County Memorial hospital where she was admitted Thursday. She was born July 27, 1906 in Baltimore township, Barry county, the daughter of George and Inez Forman, and was a graduate of Woodland high school and Davenport Business college in Grand Rapids. Following her graduation she was employed at E. W. Bliss company in Hastings. She was married June 11, 1927 to Byron Teaker and was employed for many years at Meijer supermarket as head checker and bookkeeper until she took a leave of absence in August 1963 because of ill health. She was an active member of First Christian Church. Surviving are her husband, Byron; one daughter, Mrs. Gerald Rieger of Cutlerville; one son, Gordon Teaker of Ionia; seven grandchildren; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George R. Forman of Woodland; one sister, Mrs. John DeGraff of Beaver Dam, Wisconsin; and one brother, Harold Forman of Houghton Lake Funeral service will be conducted Monday at 2 p.m. at Stone-Kauffman funeral home with the Rev. Floyd Emshwiller officiating and interment at Sunset Memorial Garden Shrine. A memorial fund for First Christian Church has been established and contributions will be accepted at the funeral home.
