Ionia Sentinel - 1 June 1979
Richard Lee Teavey, 30, formerly of 301 E. Riverside Drive, died Thursday in 
Newport, Washington.  He was born February 11, 1949 in Grand Rapids, the son of 
Mr and Mrs Kenneth Teavey.  He was married April 6, 1973 in Ionia to Carolyn 
Allen.  He was formerly employed by General Tire.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn; two sons, Richard and John; three 
daughters, Cindy, Christina, and Maria; his parents, Kenneth of Comstock Park 
and Ruby Karrar of Greenville; three brothers, Robert and David of Saginaw and 
Larry of Grand Rapids two sisters, Linda and Debra; one grandfather, Elzia 
Teavey of Zepher Hills, Fla.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2:30 pm at the Myers-Roetman Funeral 
home in Ionia with the Rev. Ralph Barton officiating.  Burial will be in Sunset 
Memorial Gardens.  The family will be at the funeral home Saturday morning after 
10 am to receive friends and relatives.
