Belding Banner-News, 29 Mar 1973

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at Huffman Funeral Home for John
Tebbel, 94, of 9158 Button Road, Smyrna.  Mr. Tebbel passed away Wednesday,
March 21 at United Memorial Hospital, Greenville.  Rev. Darwyn Hassert
officiated at the services.  Masonic services were under the auspices of Belding
Lodge No. 355 F & A M.  Interment was at Smyrna Cemetery.

Mr. Tebbel was born May 5, 1878 at Imlay City, the son of William R. and Mary
Tebbel.  The family moved to Smyrna in 1880 where his father, and later Mr.
Tebbel, operated the flour mill.  He was a life member of Belding Lodge No. 355
F & A M and Smyrna Maccabees.

He is survived by his wife the former Blanche Heath.
