Born in Keene township July 23, 1908, he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. James P. Tefft. He formerly owned and operated the Tefft-Pellot Mill company of Hubbardston. He was a veteran of World War II and a former resident of Saranac. His wife, Ruth, died December 31, 1972. Surviving are a son, Alfred of Iron River and two grandchildren; five sisters, Mrs. Anna Munger of Ionia, Mrs. Agnes VanHeulen of Grand Rapids, Dorothy Tefft of Lansing, Mrs. Emma Rickert and Mrs. Helen Berndt of Saranac; three brothers, Verl of Warren, Lee and Bert of Belding. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Roetman funeral home at Saranac. Interment will be at the Saranac cemetery.
