May 13, 1985 LEE W. TEFFT SARANAC - Lee W. Tefft, 72, of North Lee Road, Saranac, died Friday evening in St. Mary's Hospital, Grand Rapids. Born in Keene Township March 16, 1913, he was the son of James and Eva Carr Tefft, and was a lifelong resident and farmer in Keene. He was a member of the Saranac VFW and of the Michigan Horsepulling Association. He was married to Alice Wassink Nov. 21, 1942, in Saranac; she survives. Also surviving are a son, Harold Philo of California; a daughter, Mrs. James (Beverly) Ingraham of Clarksville; six grandchildren; a brother, Burt Tefft of Belding; two sisters, Emma Rickert and Helen Berndt, both of Saranac. Four brothers and three sisters preceded him in death. Funeral services will be Monday at 1 pm from the Lake Funeral Home, Saranac, with the Rev. Kenneth Harger of Shiloh Community Church officiating. Burial will be in Saranac Cemetery. A memorial has been established for the Emphysema Society, in card of the funeral home.
