Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Monday in St. John Lutheran Church, following prayer service at 1:30 p.m. at Boynton funeral home. Pastor Elmer B. Schiefer of Riley will officiate. Interment will be at Highland Park cemetery. Mr. Teichmann had been in Arizona since November for health reasons. He was born January 15, 1901, in Austria, son of Jacob and Katherine Teichmann. He came to Chicago in 1910 and to Ionia in 1918. On July 16, 1924, he married Elinor Dreger in Ionia. Employed as coach repairman at Pere Marquette car shops in Ionia until 1932, he continued his work in Saginaw when the shops were transferred there. In 1950 he retired. Mr. Teichmann was a member of St. John Lutheran church. Surviving are his wife, Elinor, three daughters, Mrs. Betty Gerke of Greenville, Mrs. Marilyn Prince of Grand Rapids, Mrs. Alice Monty of Willows, Calif., two sons, Philip of Ionia and John of Bermuda, eleven grandchildren, and his mother, Katherine Heintz of Chicago, and one brother, Philip also of Chicago. A brother, Henry, preceded Mr. Teichmann in death a month ago. The body will repose at Boynton funeral home from Friday evening until the funeral.
