Harold was born August 1, 1938 in Orleans the son of Donald and Lillian Lapekes Telfor. He attended Belding High School and later served in the United States Marine Corps as a sharpshooter. He was a member of the Moose Lodge of Greenville and managed the Little League Baseball program in Belding in the 1960’s, serving as league president for one year. He loved little league baseball, deer hunting, Nascar, watching Belding High School Football and his family. He was married on July 1, 1961 to Sybil Carroll and she preceded him on February 9, 2002. He was also preceded by his parents, brother, Donald in 1980, sister Betty in 2001 and a son-in-law; Steven R. Tiffany on Monday, December 4, 2006. Harold is survived by his children, Dana and Lori Telfor of Stanton, Valerie and Craig Harper of Spring Hope, NC, Joe Telfor of Rockford, Terri Tiffany of Bitely, and Pam Ciganik of Wyoming. Harold is also survived by 8 grandchildren, his brothers and sisters, Danny and Sharon Telfor of Eaton Rapids, Raymond Telfor of Georgia, Josephine and Jack Reeves of Belding, Harry and Joanne Telfor of Big Rapids, Connie and Bill Gregory of Grant, Gary and Roxanne Telfor of Grand, many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Harold will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding with Pastor Ken Harger of Shiloh Community Church officiating. Interment will follow in Orleans Township Cemetery. Following the committal service a luncheon will be held at the American Legion in Belding. Visitation will be Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be given to the Belding High School Football program.
