Ionia Sentinel Standard, 11 Jun 1957

Mrs. Emgard Louise Temelco, 51 of 423 ˝ West Main street, died suddenly Thursday
afternoon at her residence.  She was born April 13, 1906 in Bennington,
Michigan, a daughter of Fredrick and Marie Luft.

She attended schools in Owosso and was married to Riste Temelco July 20, 1924 in
Owosso.  Mrs. Temelco had made her home in Ionia the past 18 years and she and
her husband had been engaged in operation of the Coney Island restaurant in Ionia.

A member of the First Presbyterian church of Ionia, she was also a member of the
Esther circle of the church, American Legion auxiliary of Girard-Horrocks Post
No. 37 and Gray Ladies of the Ionia County memorial hospital.

Surviving are her husband, Riste, a son, Donald and a daughter, Jane Ruth; two
grandchildren, Riste Donald and Richard David; two brothers, Otto Zinke and Ray
Luft, both of Flint, and two sisters, Margaret Trask of Ithaca and Edna Drexler
of Owosso.

The body is at the Phelps funeral chapel where funeral services will be
conducted Saturday afternoon at 1 o’clock with the Rev. George L. Rentschler,
pastor of the first Presbyterian church, officiating.  Burial will be in Balcom
cemetery.
