Brian Edward Templeton, aged 33, of Waterford, formerly of Ionia, passed away 
on March 25, 2004 due to accidental injuries.  Brian was born December 11, 
1970 in Ionia, the son of Steve and Jean (Black) Templeton. 

He was a graduate of Ionia High School.  He got his start as a pilot flying at 
Benz Aviation in Ionia. He later received certification as an Airline 
Transport Pilot Commercial Multi Engine Instrument Instructor. He worked for 
Superior of Lansing, American Flyers of Chicago, Grand Rapids Rapid Air and 
was also a flight Instructor at Lansing Community College.  He was currently 
employed by Royal Air of Pontiac. He was affiliated with the Experimental 
Aircraft Association. He was a plane racing enthusiast where he enjoyed flying 
Midget Mustangs.

He is survived by his mother, Jean Templeton of Ionia; father, Steve and 
Carlene Templeton of Ionia; sister, Karla and Tim Palmisano of Rockford; 
fiance' Tricia Wrone of Clarkston; grandmother, Marie C. Templeton of Ionia; 
nieces, Katie, Anna, and McKenzie; great-aunt Norene Templeton of Olympia, 
Washington; several aunts and uncles.  He was preceded in death by his 
grandparents, Forrest and Charlotte Black and grandfather William H. Templeton.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the Lake Funeral Home in 
Ionia. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 3 to 5 p.m. and from 7 to 8:30 p.m. 
at the funeral home.  Anyone wishing may make memorial contributions to Safe 
Haven For Animals of Ionia or LCC Flight School Scholarship Fund.
