The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Thursday, December 18, 1952
Legrand Terry, 72, a former county resident, died at the United Memorial 
hospital in Greenville Wednesday, December 17.  He was born April 10, 1880, in 
Woodstock township, Lenawee County, the eldest son of Benjamin and Cynthia 
Terry.  He moved to Eaton county and to Big Rapids following his father’s 
early death.  After the age of 21 he made Dildine community in Easton township 
his home until recent years which were spent at Morgan Mills Lakes near 
Greenville.  

He was married to Emily Leach of Easton in 1904.  Surviving are the wife, two 
daughters, Mrs. Myrtie Bowerman of Rosebush and Mrs. Margaret Coursey of 
Greenville, six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; a brother, Roy of 
Zephyrhills, Fla., and a sister, Mrs. Gertrude N… of Aberdeen, S.D.  His 
mother, Mrs. Cynthia Mullin, a sister, Mrs. Myrtie Terry, and a brother, Jim, 
preceded him in death.

The body reposes at the Stone-Kauffman funeral home where services will be 
held Saturday at 2:30 p.m.  The Rev. Henry Ball will officiate.  Interment 
will be in Easton cemetery.
