Fr. John S. Fons officiating the requiem Mass. Interment was in Mount Olivet cemetery. Pallbearers were six brothers, John, Stanley, Patrick, Michael, Edward and Wolford Wieczorek. Relatives from out-of-town at the services were Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Teufel and daughter, Joyce, of Greenville; Mr. and Mrs. Cumberworth, Petoskey; Mr. and Mrs. Vincent Wieczorek, Lansing; Pvt. Russell Wieczorek, Battle Creek; Joseph Teufel and Harry Kreeger, Sydney; C.H. Coughlin, R.A. Christian, and Mr. and Mrs. A. Simonton, Grand Rapids; Mr. and Mrs. Albert Kennedy, William Huyler, Mrs. Amber Schutts and son, Keith, Greenville; Mrs. Helen Kulka, Mrs. Mary Jarzenbowski and Mrs. Pauline Meyers, Detroit. -------------------- Ionia County News, 20 Jul 1944 Mrs. H.S. Teufel, 337 Adams street, died about four o’clock Friday morning, July 14, in Little Traverse Hospital, Petoskey, following an operation for obstruction, performed late Thursday afternoon. Mrs. Teufel was taken ill at her home the previous Sunday and entered the Petoskey hospital Wednesday. Anna Wieczorek, daughter of Mrs. Joseph Wieczorek, was born in Ionia, April 26, 1887 and had spent her entire life in the city. She worked as a practical nurse for many years and since last October had been employed at the A-C. Surviving besides her husband, H.S. Teufel, are a son, Glenn, of Greenville; a daughter, Mrs. Lucille Cumberworth, Petoskey; her mother, Mrs. Josephine Wieczorek, a sister, Mrs. Julia Swartz; six brothers, all of Ionia, and a grand daughter, Joyce Teufel, of Greenville. The six brothers, Stanley, John, Patrick, Michael, Edward and Wolford, were pall bearers. Requiem Mass for Mrs. Teufel was chanted by Father John S. Fons at 9:00 Monday morning in SS Peter and Paul church, and burial was in Mt. Olivet cemetery.
