The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Friday, October 26, 1951


Mrs. Gladys E. Thalison, 55, of 776 Cyrus street died Friday, October 26, at 
9:30 a.m. after being ill since Wednesday.  She was the widow of John Thalison 
Sr.  She was born in Manton September 13, 1896, and was married January 15, 
1921, to John in Ionia  She had lived here since her marriage.  He died January 
28, 1949.  She was a member of the Free Methodist church of Ionia.

Surviving are two sons, Frank of Dalton, and John Jr., of Ionia, deputy sheriff 
here; two daughters, Mrs. Arduth Fuller of Ionia and Ella at home; four 
grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Blanche Ketchum of Battle Creek, Mrs. Hattie 
Healey of East Jordan, and Mrs. Dorothy VanAntwerp, of Mt. Pleasant.

Funeral services will be held at the Boynton funeral home Monday at 11 a.m.  
The Rev. Manuel Burtch will officiate.  Interment will be in the family lot, 
Oak Hill cemetery.
