Ionia Daily Standard, 16 Nov 1891

Isaac H. Thayer, well known in Ionia as a partner for many years in the firm of 
Cooper & Thayer, died at his home near Glen Rock, Wyoming.  A dispatch from his 
son Walter to G. S. Cooper, dated Saturday, said that he would leave that day 
with the remains for Ionia.  Mr. Thayer was taken with la grippe last winter, 
and has not been well since, although his condition has not been regarded as 
dangerous until the last few weeks.  His wife, son and daughter were with him 
at the time of his death.  Mr. Thayer came to Ionia in 1860, and was a resident 
here over a quarter of a century.  He went to Wyoming about five years ago, 
where he has been engaged in the cattle business.  G.S., W.K. and J.C. Cooper 
are brothers, and Mrs. G. K Jackson a sister of deceased.
