The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Saturday, February 9, 1980

Rose A. Thelen, 64 of Pewamo, died Wednesday at Clinton Memorial Hospital.  
The daughter of Peter and Theresa (Shafer) Hufnagel, she was born on April 30, 
1915.  She was a member of the Pewamo St. Joseph’s Church and Altar Society.

Survivors include her husband, Joseph; one son, Ronald; one daughter, Mrs. 
James (Theresa) Winslow of Lansing; one brother, Arnold Hufnagel; two sisters, 
Romilda Simon of Pewamo and Clothilda Hengesbach of Westphalia; and two 
grandchildren.

Rosary was said Friday at St. Mary’s Church in Westphalia.  A 10 a.m. funeral 
Mass will be Saturday at St. Joseph’s Church.  Monsignor Thomas Bolger will 
officiate.  Burial will be in St. Josephs Cemetery.  Arrangements are being 
made by Neller Funeral Home, Portland.
