Ionia Shopper's Guide - Sat. April 7, 2007

Betty Louise Thelen, age 86 of Sunfield, formerly of Portland, passed away at 
home surrounded by her loving family on March 30, 2007. She is survived by her 
sons; Charles (Sandee) Thelen of Wichita Falls, TX; and Richard (Sharon) Thelen 
of East Lansing; daughters: Mary Ann (Gary) Gardner of Lansing; and Susan Jones 
of Sunfield; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren that she loved dearly; 
sister, Dorothy Sue McDaniel of Lansing, 4 sisters-in-law; and many nieces and 
nephews. Mass of Chiristian Burial was held Tuesday, April 3, at St. Patrick 
Catholic Church, Portland; with Rev. Larry King presiding. Rite of Committal 
followed at Portland Cemetery. Arrangements by Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home, 
210 E. Bridge St., Portland. Contributions may be made to Fr. Flohe Fund in the 
name of Betty Thelen.
