Portland Review - Sunday Oct. 5, 2008

Regina E. Thelen, of Westphalia, went to be with the Lord on Sept. 30, 2008 at 
the age of 98.

Mrs. Thelen worked for Fr. Miller and Fr. Schmidtt for many years at the 
Catholic Diocese. Her favorite thing in life were spending time with her 
friends and family and quilting.

Mrs. Thelen was preceded in death by her husband Virgil Thelen in 1963; two 
sisters, Catherine Stratz and Hilda Leik; and brothers, Louis and Frank Pung.

She is survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of 
Country Living AFC and Hospice of Lansing for their excellent care. 

The funeral Mass was held on Oct. 3 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Westphalia 
with graveside service immediately following in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, 
Westphalia.
