Ionia Sentinel Standard, 15 Oct 1979

Louis M. Thelen, 78, 202 East St., died Friday at Ingham Medical Hospital.  He
was born March 5, 1901 in Clinton County, the son of Anthony and Helena Miller
Thelen.  He was a retired farmer and livestock dealer. 

Surviving are his wife, Hilda; three sons, James of Grand Haven, and Tony and
William, both of Pewamo; five daughters, Sister Donna Jean OP of Pewamo, Mrs.
Kathryn Hanses of Westphalia, Mrs. Donna Kramer of Pewamo; Miss Bonnie Thelen of
Los Angles, and Miss Sue Thelen of Haslett; 29 grand children; a brother, Greg,
of Pewamo; and a sister, Mrs. Leona Leach of St. Petersburg, Fla.

Rosary was held Saturday and Sunday at St. Mary’s Chapel in Westphalia. 
Services were today at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Church with the Msgr. Thomas Bolger
officiating with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery.  Arrangements were made by the
Neller Funeral Home of Portland.
