Coroner Richard Hall ruled death due to a heart attack. He was born July 19, 1905 in Germany and came to Chicago, Ill., in 1925 and worked as a car inspector for the New York Central and Penn Central Railroads until his retirement July of 1969. May 26, 1934 he was married in Chicago to Edna Voelker. A former member of St. Martini Lutheran church of Chicago he had transferred his member ship to St. Johns Lutheran church of Ionia. He was a member of First Burgenlander society of Chicago. He moved to Muir in September 24, 1970. Surviving are his wife, Edna; three daughters, Mrs. Jerry Helmerich, Mrs. Joseph Majewski and Mrs. Donald Nichol, of Chicago; 11 grandchildren, two brothers and three sisters in Germany. Services will be Thursday at St. Martini Lutheran church in Chicago and interment will be at Bethania cemetery, Justice, Ill. Arrangements were handled by Shaw-Rivett-Hull funeral home in Muir.
