He was about 55 years of age. Funeral service will be conducted Saturday afternoon. Burial will be in Hope cemetery, Lansing, by the side of an infant son. Mr. Thomas leaves his widow, who is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. W. Parr of Ionia. Mrs. Thomas recently submitted to an operation in Sparrow hospital where she spent five weeks, and returned to her home last Sunday. He also leaves a son Carl, of Lansing, and brothers and sisters in Canada. While a resident of Ionia he was employed at the Pere Marquette shops. He was also prominent in sport circles, and was a star pitcher on Ionia independent baseball teams for several years.
