The Ionia Daily Standard, Thursday, November 6, 1902

Mrs. Ester F. Thomas died last night, at the great age of 92 yrs., 8 mos. and 
5 days.  The hour of death is not known.  She retired at the usual hour; at 3 
o’clock this morning, as has been the custom, the daughter went to her mother, 
and found that she was asleep—this time in death.  Deceased was a native of 
Vermont, but had resided in Ionia many years.  The funeral will be at the 
home, 163 East Main street, at 3 p.m., on Saturday afternoon, Rev. W. H. 
Macpherson officiating.
