The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Thursday, March 17, 1938

Fred M. Thomas, 74, a former resident of North Plains township died at the 
home of his granddaughter, FernWolthuis Wednesday morning, March 16.

Survivors are four sons, Ernest of Flint, Melvin of Grand Rapids, Rollin of 
Tustin, and Milton of Dutton; three daughters, Mrs. Herbert Young of Ionia 
township, Mrs. Floyd Stevens of Allegan, and Mrs. Harold Tabor of Grand 
Rapids; twelve grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held from the North Plains church Friday afternoon, 
March 18 at 2 o’clock.
