The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Wednesday, March 31, 1954

Mrs. Alice Thomas, 76, of Fenwick, died Tuesday at the Greenville Memorial 
Hospital.  She was born November 7, 1877 in Ronald township, Ionia county, the 
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ezra Pierce.  She was the widow of the late Smith 
Thomas.

Surviving are two sons, Ray of Palo and Ralph of Fenwick, six grandchildren 
and sixteen great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at the Stebbins funeral home in Sheridan Friday 
afternoon at 2 o’clock with the Rev. H. S. Ellis officiating.  Interment will 
be in Sunny Hill cemetery.
