Ionia Sentinel-Standard - Tues. Feb. 21, 2012

Kathleen Jean Thomas, 74, of Belding, passed away Feb. 18, 2012. She was born 
May 14, 1937 in Ionia, the daughter of Cleo L. and Ethel T. (Conner) Moore. 
Kathleen married Wayne P. Thomas May 5, 1956. He preceded her in death Jan. 14, 
2003. She attended Friendship Country Chapel. Before retirement, Kathleen 
worked for Jet Electronics in Grand Rapids.

She is survived by her daughters, Debra Jean (Michael) Andrews of Orleans, 
Teresa Lynn (Don) Cowley of Florida, Stephanie Jane (Gary) Birman of Saranac, 
and Marjorie Kay Hanner of Ionia; brothers, Terry (Sue) Moore of Texas, Cleo 
(Bonnie) Moore of Edmore, Gary (Rose) Moore of Hastings, Danny (Barb)Moore of 
North Carolina and Christopher Moore of Arizona; sisters, Mayeillieen Bartosh 
of Saranac and Thelma Dickerson of Pewamo; sister-in-law Evelyn Moore of 
Lowell; brother-in-law Richard Thomas of Ionia; 14 grandchildren; 11 great-
grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one son, Christopher O'Brien Thomas in 1977; 
daughter-in-law Shelly Ann Thomas in 1977; brothers, Charles and James; and a 
sister, Charlotte.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday at Lake Funeral Home in Saranac 
with Pastor Bob Roush officiating. Interment Oakwood Cemetery. The family will 
receive friends and relatives from 11 a.m. to 1 p.,. at the funeral home prior 
to the services.
