SCOTT MICHAEL THOMAS
Scott Michael Thomas, age 51, of Ionia, passed away Jan. 9, 2016, in Lansing. He 
was born July 9, 1964, in Ionia, Michigan, the son of Leo and Earlene (Nunns) 
Thomas. Scott married Shirley Bristol June 15, 2002, in Ionia. He graduated from 
Ionia High School class of 1982. He loved NASCAR and was an avid Michigan fan.

Scott is survived by his loving wife of 13 years, Shirley Thomas of Ionia; son 
Brandon (Arica) Thomas of Ohio; step-daughters, Brenda (Chris) Gibbs of Maryland 
and Heather (Russ) Cutchall of Missouri; brothers, Chris(Tammy) Thomas of Ionia 
and David Thomas of Ionia; grandchildren, Montanna Gibbs, Mason Gibbs, Corbin 
Cutchall and Aria Thomas; mother and father-in-law's Ron and JoAnn Bristol; 
sister-in-laws, Shelia Lanning, Rebecca Bristol, Sue (Kim) Felty, Andrea 
(Robert) Kelsey and Jamie (Bruce) Bolf; and brother-in-law, Rick (Barb) Bristol 
and John (Eva) Bristol.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He has been cremated and services will be held at a later date. Arrangements by 
lake funeral Home of Ionia. Memorial contributions may be made to his family.
