Excerpts from Portland Obituary

                        SHERILYN L. (BURGESS) THOMAS

Died July 6, 2022-age 84 of Portland
Born May 28, 1938, the daughter of Irven and Marie Burgess of Portland.
Married Phil Thomas on August 31, 1957. He preceded her in death after 69 years 
in marriage.
Also preceded in death by her brother, Glen Burgess, sister,Kay Creighton & 
brother-in-law, Charles Thomas.
Sherilyn  enjoyed playing cards, bowling & spending time with her family.
Sherilyn and Phil liked camping at East Tawas, gambling, & traveling to Texas in 
the winter.
Survived by her children, Debra (Tim) Colley of Ionia, Dennis (Tina) Thomas of 
Houston, TX, Denise (Bill) Epps of Ionia & Diane Moore (Tom Harrington) of 
Delton; 12 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Marlene Thomas, 
brothers & sisters-in-law, Larry (Rosie) Thomas, Robert (Pat) Thomas, & William 
(Barb) Thomas; many cousin, nieces & nephews.
Funeral services will be Monday July 11, 2022 at Lehman Funeral Home, Bridge, 
St., Portland at 11:00 A.M with Pastor Letisha Bowman officiating.
Interment will follow at Portland Cemetery.
Visitation from 307 on Sunday at the funeral home.
