Ionia Sentinel Standard, 30 Jul 1964

Funeral service was conducted at Sparks-Griffin chapel at Auburn Heights 
Thursday afternoon for Paul Charles Thomas, 56, who died about 5 o’clock 
Tuesday evening in a Pontiac hospital.

He was born June 16, 1908 in Ionia, son of Lee and Maude Thomas, and attended 
Ionia schools.  In 1932 he was married to Dorothy Ferguson who died in January 
1937.  He was also preceded in death May 19, 1964 by his wife, Clarabelle, to 
whom he was married in 1954.

Mr. Thomas was employed 32 years at General Motors in Pontiac, retiring two 
years ago due to ill health.

He is survived by two sons, Richard and Ronald Thomas, a daughter, Shirley, all 
of Pontiac; his mother, Mrs. Frank Kuhn of Ionia; two brothers, Steve Thomas of 
Muir and Matthew of Ionia; two sisters, Mrs. Donald Ferguson, Sr., of Ionia, 
and Mrs. Peter Randall of Hastings; and several nieces and nephews in Ionia 
area. 

Burial was at Pontiac.
