Jefferson St., Ionia, died Friday evening in Ionia County Memorial Hospital after a long illness. Born Feb. 3, 1907, in Osceola County, she was the daughter of Lee and Jennie Sprague. She graduated from Everett High School and attended Ionia County Normal, and was married to William Thomas in December. 1929. The lived in all their married life in the Ionia-Lyons area. She was a charter member of Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church of Ionia. Surviving are her husband, William; four sons, Ronald of Albany, Oregon; Roger of Saranac; and Richard and Merwin, both of Ionia; one daughter, Mrs. Leonard Collins of Big Rapids; 16 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers, Frank of Muskegon and Walter of Mesa, Ariz. One brother, Lyle, died last Thursday and funeral services were held Sunday. Funeral services will be Monday at 3 p.m. from the Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church, with the Rev. Larry Frye officiating. Burial will be in Easton Cemetery. A memorial has been established for Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church, in the care of Hull Memorial Chapel, Muir, which made funeral arrangements.
