The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Friday, January 10, 1947
Christopher A. Thomas, 79, died following a heart attack at his home in 
Saranac, Thursday afternoon.  Mr. Thomas was a former resident of Grand 
Rapids, moving to Saranac two years ago.  He was born in Germany July 23, 
1873, and came to United States when a small boy.  He is a retired Grand 
Rapids butcher and 32nd degree Mason.

Surviving him are his wife, May; and a daughter, Mrs. Bertha Sisson of Grand 
Rapids.

The body will be at the Masonic Temple in Grand Rapids Monday morning, March 
10, and funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 2 p.m. from there.  
Burial will be in Greenwood cemetery.  Send flowers to Masonic Temple in Grand 
Rapids.
