Marlene I."Jeanne" Thome-Pates

Died Saturday December 27, 2025-age 92 formerly of Belding, Greenville and 
Rupert,ID.,at Robbinswood Assisted Living in Grand Haven.
Born in Grand Rapids,MI.on December 9, 1933, daughter of George A.& Norma L.
(Jersey) Eastway.
Jeanne graduated Belding High School.
She retired from Gibson/Frigidaire after many years.
She married Dr.Don "Doc"Pates on April 18, 2003 & together they resided i 
Rupert, ID & enjoyed 16 years of marriage prior to his death March 9, 2019.
She was a member of the Ray I.Booth American Legion Post #101 Auxiliary in 
Greenville,MI.
She enjoyed family & friends, genealogy, bowling, golfing, quilting, gardening 
traveling with husband "Doc" via motorcycle.
Later years she enjoyed bingo, computer games, puzzles, favorite TV shows, 
visits with family & friends.
Thanks to the staff of Robbinswood Assisted Living & her daughter Rena for all 
the special love & care.
Preceded in death by her parents, husband Don Pates; sister, Maxine Eastway-
Harding; son, Daniel G. Thome; special nephew & niece,Orville & Marilyn Harding; 
& special great-niece, Tina Marie Harding.
Survived by her children, David (Josefina)Thome of Belding & Rena Thome of Grand 
Haven; Don's children, Carla Pates-Teitt(Bob) of Utah, Karen Dickson of Idaho & 
Colleen(Jerry)Winters of Utah; grandchildren, Janaya Thome, Tyler Thome, Hannah 
(John) Beckett, Selena Thome & Autumn Thome; great-grandchildren, Cooper Thome, 
Arro Reedy & Theodore Beckett; & great-nephew, George (Kern) Harding.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Monday, January 5, 2025 at Hurst Funeral 
Home, Greenville,MI.
Visitation  from 10am-12pm prior to the service with Rev Robert Appold of 
Mt.Calvary Lutheran Church.
Interment will be in Smyrna Cemetery.
