Wilma A. Thompson, age 79, of Grand Rapids, passed away Tuesday, July 19, 2005, 
at the Elizabeth House Hospice in Hendersonville, NC.  Born in Palo, she was 
the daughter of the late Fred and Vera Reimer.

In addition to a proud homemaker, she worked as a dental assistant, a 
seamstress for H.H. Cutler, and lastly at Schuler Books.  She was an active 
member of the Coronado Garden Club for many years and volunteered in the after 
school kids program at Trinity United Methodist Church.  She loved to garden 
and entertain.  She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and friend.

She is survived by her children (and grandchildren), Rocky Thompson and his 
wife, Nicole of Greenville, (Russ, Toby, Kelsey, Amber, Cameron, and Cole), 
Mitch Thompson and his wife Debbie of Charlotte, N.C. (Kaylee and Sydney), 
Terri Thompson, of Hendersonville, N.C. and Freddie MacIntosh and her husband, 
Dennis of East Grand Rapids (Hayden and Kyle); a brother, Jack Reimer and his 
wife, Marge; a sister, Patricia Horrocks and her husband Gerald.

Wilma touched many people in her life and she was blessed with a great circle 
of friends and family.  She will be deeply missed.  Memorial services are 1 
p.m. Saturday at Trinity United Methodist Church in Grand Rapids.  The family 
will receive friends following the service.  Memorial contributions may be made 
to the Community Ministries Program, c/o Trinity United Methodist Church, 1100 
Lake Drive, Grand Rapids, MI, 49506.  Thos. Shepherd & Son Funeral Directors, 
Hendersonville, N.C. is in charge of arrangements.
