The Ionia Standard, Friday, February 17, 1911

The funeral of C. O. Thompson was largely attended Sat. afternoon at the home 
on East Main St.  The services were in charge of Rev. Spencer of the 
Presbyterian church, of which Mr. Thompson had been a lifelong member. 
Mesdames Thane Benedict and G. M. Phelps rendered several appropriate musical 
selections.  Interment took place in Oak Hill cemetery.  The carriers were: T. 
S. Barringer, Andrew Jackson, H. G. Thornton and Geo. D. Rauch.  Many 
relatives and friends from out of the city were present.
